ExpoDisc Neutral |

Hello, I just wanted to say thanks for your [David Maynard Photography] easy-going but informative tuition videos I found online. I am a 65 year-old enthusiastic amateur with a 5D, and I always had problems getting the white balance to show correctly. You demo'd the Expodisc, I purchased one and now I'm getting correct colour in my images.
Thank you very much.
Regards,

“I love my expodisc…it rocks! The control over white balance is exactly what I needed to cut down my editing time. Now I can spend more time enhancing images and not correcting them."

While I was shooting at a boxing match recently, another photographer saw me using the ExpoDisc. He asked me if it makes a difference. After showing him a few shots he couldn't believe how easy it was to use and how much of a difference it made in regards to white balance. He said that he had seen white balance filters before, but didn't think it would make a difference, until he saw how my pictures were coming out. I offered to show him on his own camera and he said "YES". At the end of the night, he said that he couldn't believe the difference. He continued by saying that he wants one of his own, and he thanked me for letting him try it.

I ordered the ExpoDisc online and I love it. I use it on my Canon 5d Mark II; it produces the best white balance. My photos looked good before, but now they look amazing. The ExpoDisc is so great that I don't have to edit all of my photos, so I get to spend more time taking pictures instead of sitting in front of my computer. Thank you very much! I will be letting my friends know about your great products. Here are two pictures that I took; they haven't been doctored in Photoshop. I was using a Canon 5d Mark II with a 24-70L Lens.

"I love the Custom White Balance Filter. I shoot a lot of hockey and white balance has always been very tricky to get right.
Now with the filter I get great colours all the time. I also took shots in some difficult lighting situations
(stadium lighting, fluorescent light mix) and got good results. An excellent product – works much better than hours of fiddling in Photoshop or Grey Cards."
"For hockey photos I discovered a useful tip: If you are shooting through the glass you should point the ExpoDisc through the glass that will be in front of you at the arena lighting. If you change positions you should reset the WB since all the glass panels are not the same!"

"I own two Expodiscs. The purple flowers were taken using my Nikkor 18-200mm DX lens mounted on a Nikon D-200, after taking a white balance reading with my 72mm Expodisc. It was because of perfectly balanced light like this that I purchased a second Expodisc for my Nikkor 17-55mm DX lens. The Hibiscus was taken with a D-300 Nikon, after taking a reading with my 77mm Expodisc. Both pictures are a testiment to the accuracy obtained with the Expodisc."

"I just started using your expodisc, and it is truly a fantastic, breakthrough development. Especially amazing was the way it handled bounce flash. I shot an exposure using Canon's in camera flash white balance setting, and got the typical yellowish red exposure. I shot the same exposure using the expodisc and the colors and skin tones were perfect!"

"ExpoDisc works for point-and-shoot cameras too!"
One of the ubiquitous hassles in digital photography is achieving the correct white balance. I bought an ExpoDisc originally to do quick white balancing for my hockey dSLR shots.
A few months later, I was getting sick and tired of crappy white balance on my point-and-shoot camera (a Canon SD870 IS Powershot). I tried a gray card but it didn't work at all. Then I decided to put the ExpoDisc over the camera lens and use that to set white balance, using the camera's custom white balance function. Lo and behold -- perfect white balance!
What I learned:
* You use the ExpoDisc to do white balancing for both dSLR and point-and-shoot cameras. All you need is the ability to set up a custom white balance profile in your particular point-and-shoot camera.
* Since the lens of the point-and-shoot camera is so small, you can use the smallest and cheapest ExpoDisc (52 mm filter size).
* Unless you have special needs, use the neutral ExpoDisc.
* The ExpoDisc is so small and light that you can bring it anywhere. Plus, it's much more durable than a gray card. Not quite as small as a gray card, but that's no big deal unless you're one of those people who likes to count grams.
