Ray Flash: The Ring Flash Adapter |
|
"A couple of weeks ago I purchased the Ray Flash. I have been looking for a similar product for a while, especially for shooting in situations where the lighting may be bad/changing or where I have to switch between portrait and landscape quickly. Ray Flash has giving me the flexibility to move around and shoot from any angle without having to stuff around with the equipment at all."

"The reason I wanted a ring flash like this was so I could get the soft edges and enough light so I wouldn't have to rely on slaves as much. Using slaves takes up a great deal more time and when you only have about an hour and a half as I do in these boudoir sessions, that's important. Not to mention, the results are amazing!"

"Here is my first gallery using the Ray Flash as just fill flash in bright strongly contrasting daylight exposures. I do not think I will ever shoot without it again!!!... both the model, the makeup artist (Susan Berkoff), and myself stand behind the Ray Flash proudly as it makes all our work easier... I have never believed more in a gadget than I do in this one. From hating using flash I'm now looking forward to it."

"It is 'Homecoming' here this week and the local flower shop asked me to photograph their assortment of corsages so they would have a catalog for people to choose from. The shop owners (and I ) were truly impressed with the results, using your "Ray Flash"! (Hooked up to a Canon 5D). I am very grateful for your help, and am really glad I made this purchase. Just for fun, I am attaching a couple of pix for your enjoyment."

"This product should win some kind of an award for innovation and value. I've shot with two static, in-studio ring flashes for years and I can say that the Ray Flash performs nearly identically at normal portrait distances. Very well made and worth every cent. For me it opens a whole new world of mobile photography."

"I picked up the Ray Flash for my Nikon D2x/SB-800s when it first came out. I love it. I'll be shooting with it this week in Las Vegas for a couple of magazines and have done a lot with it the past few weeks... In addition to the traditional ringflash applications, I like using it off-axis with other strobes when out of the studio...it is a far more flexible tool then I think it gets credit for. You have a great product that I would highly recommend."

"I have been using my Ray Flash off and on since I received it. I love the way it envelops the subject without the hard shadows that can be produced with just my SB/800 flash. For macro shots it is wonderful. I have copied and attached a couple photos, that I took using the Ray Flash."

"I'm using the Ray Flash with a Tokina 100 mm macro lens at about a 1:1 reproduction ratio. I've always had trouble getting good, even lighting that close up, but the pictures I've taken so far have been beautifully lit."

The Ring Flash Adaptor has opened up a whole new look to my work. I use it in conjunction with other studio type lighting. It is a great added light source for illuminating the eyes of my models. The models have a captivating look that draws you in with the Ring Flash Adaptor. Thank you for inventing it!

"Ray flash is an awesome product. I had serious reservations on if it was powerful enough and solid enough for my work, and it passes both with flying colors."
